About
Bhatti Pasal
Bhatti Pasal is one of Amsterdam's most beloved hidden gems and has introduced countless visitors to authentic Nepalese cuisine. The name Bhatti Pasal refers to the small traditional eateries found throughout Nepal, where simple but flavourful dishes are shared among friends and family. The restaurant was founded by chef Tika Pun, who gained experience in leading restaurants, luxury hotels and Michelin-starred kitchens before opening his own concept in Amsterdam. His philosophy centres on fresh, seasonal ingredients and traditional recipes inspired by the flavours of Nepalese farms. The intimate original location on Voetboogstraat quickly became a favourite among locals and food lovers, leading to the opening of a larger second restaurant on Kerkstraat. Bhatti Pasal is especially famous for its handmade momos, chow mein, dal bhat and traditional sharing dishes.
