Heineken Experience
About
Heineken Experience
Located inside Heineken’s former brewery on Stadhouderskade, the Heineken Experience explores the story behind one of the Netherlands’ most internationally recognised brands. Beer was brewed inside this historic building from 1867 until 1988.
During the self-guided tour, visitors discover the ingredients and brewing process, walk through the original brewing rooms and learn how Heineken developed from an Amsterdam brewery into a global brand. Interactive installations, games and the lively Brew U Ride make the experience particularly popular with groups of friends and first-time visitors.
The tour concludes in the bar, where visitors can enjoy a freshly poured Heineken. For an enhanced visit, the Tour + Rooftop ticket adds panoramic views across Amsterdam and two drinks. A more exclusive VIP tour is also available.
Keep in mind that this is no longer a working brewery. It is a polished and energetic brand experience rather than a traditional brewing museum.
Visit on a weekday morning before 13:00 for a quieter experience; Saturdays are usually the busiest. When the weather is good, the Tour + Rooftop is worth the small upgrade for its city views. Bring valid identification, as admission is strictly for visitors aged 18 and over.
