Hotel Okura Amsterdam
About
Hotel Okura Amsterdam
Hotel Okura Amsterdam brings Japanese precision and hospitality to the heart of De Pijp. Opened in 1971, the 23-storey hotel is guided by the Japanese philosophy of omotenashi: thoughtful, anticipatory service delivered without expecting anything in return.
The hotel offers 300 spacious rooms and suites, many with impressive views across Amsterdam. The interiors combine understated Japanese influences with contemporary Western luxury, using calm colours, natural materials and clean lines. Higher room categories include access to the Panorama Lounge, where guests can enjoy complimentary refreshments while looking out over the skyline.
Dining is the defining feature of Hotel Okura. Its restaurants collectively hold three Michelin stars. Located on the 23rd floor, two-Michelin-starred Ciel Bleu combines French foundations with international influences, precise technique and spectacular views. Michelin-starred Yamazato serves authentic Japanese kaiseki cuisine in a serene setting overlooking a traditional Japanese garden. It was the first traditional Japanese restaurant of its kind to receive a Michelin star.
Teppanyaki Restaurant Sazanka offers live cooking at the table, while Serre provides a more relaxed dining experience beside the water. For drinks, Twenty Third Bar serves cocktails and champagne alongside some of the finest panoramic views in Amsterdam.
Nagomi Gym & Wellness includes an 18-metre indoor swimming pool, hot tub, multiple saunas and a spacious 24-hour gym. Nagomi Spa offers an additional menu of massages, facials and restorative treatments.
