Lucky Duck is one of Amsterdam's newest upscale Asian dining destinations. Located in the historic city centre near Spui, the restaurant offers a menu inspired by culinary journeys through Thailand, Vietnam, China, India and Japan. Sushi, robata dishes, curries and signature cocktails are designed to be shared, creating a lively atmosphere that combines fine dining with relaxed hospitality. The restaurant was originally launched under the name Chop Chop, but in 2026 the owners were forced to change the name because of a legal issue. Apart from the name, the same team, menu and vision remained in place. The stylish interior is spread over two floors and centres around an open kitchen where guests can watch the chefs at work. Warm lighting, velvet seating and an impressive cocktail bar create an atmosphere that easily transitions from dinner into a lively late-night experience.
