LuminAir

Located on the eleventh floor of DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station, LuminAir combines panoramic city views with one of Amsterdam’s most visually impressive bar interiors. Cloud-shaped installations, changing light projections and floor-to-ceiling windows create the feeling of floating high above the city.

The cocktail programme is every bit as ambitious as the setting. Creative signature drinks are paired with modern international bites, while the bar’s experienced team regularly collaborates with internationally recognised bartenders. LuminAir was named Best New Cocktail Bar at the 2024 Entree Awards and Best Hotel Bar in the Netherlands in 2025.

During the afternoon and early evening, LuminAir is a stylish destination for drinks with a view. Later at night, particularly on Fridays and Saturdays, the music becomes louder and the atmosphere more energetic. It is less intimate than Amsterdam’s speakeasies, but few cocktail bars can compete with its combination of views, design and excitement.

City Insider Tip: Reserve a table around sunset and request a window or terrace seat. Reservations generally last two hours, and smart-casual clothing is expected. After 22:00, LuminAir becomes an adults-only venue for guests aged 18 and over.
