New King is one of the most popular Chinese restaurants on the Zeedijk, the historic centre of Amsterdam’s Chinatown. Its extensive menu combines Cantonese, Mandarin and Sichuan influences, ranging from delicate dumplings and comforting noodle soups to roasted meats, seafood and strongly flavoured sharing dishes.

The signature order is the Sui Kau soup, a clear and aromatic broth filled with large prawn dumplings. Other favourites include crispy roasted duck, char siu pork, salt-and-pepper squid and tenderloin in black pepper sauce.
