Omelegg De Pijp
About
Omelegg De Pijp
Located on Ferdinand Bolstraat, the restaurant is a convenient breakfast stop before visiting the Albert Cuyp Market, the Heineken Experience or the surrounding streets of De Pijp. Its warm, informal atmosphere and extensive menu have made it a favourite among locals and international visitors.
Omelegg uses free-range eggs and prepares every dish to order with fresh ingredients. No milk or cream is added to the egg mixture, so the omelettes themselves are naturally lactose-free before cheese or other dairy ingredients are included.
The menu offers everything from familiar combinations to generously filled signature omelettes. The substantial Farm Boy contains bacon, sausage, salami, vegetables, farmer’s cheese and herbs. Vegetarian choices include the Popeye, with spinach, mushrooms, onion and cheese, and the Greek Wedding, filled with feta, tomato, olives, onion and oregano.
Other omelettes feature smoked salmon, halloumi, pulled chicken, chorizo, pastrami, spicy sucuk or avocado. Guests wanting something different can choose shakshuka, grilled potatoes, eggs with bacon and sausage or a croissant generously filled with scrambled eggs.
The De Pijp branch does not normally accept individual table reservations. Groups of six to 25 people can contact Omelegg in advance, while other guests are seated on a walk-in basis.
