Super Lyan

Located inside Kimpton De Witt Amsterdam, Super Lyan is the first international cocktail bar created by award-winning bartender Ryan Chetiyawardana and his celebrated Mr Lyan team. The bar occupies part of a historic seventeenth-century building, but its colourful, neon-lit interior feels more like a playful retro-futuristic diner than a traditional hotel bar.

Super Lyan is built around the idea of reimagining familiar flavours. Recognisable cocktails are transformed using unexpected ingredients, modern techniques and a strong focus on sustainability. The current Boroughs of Amsterdam menu draws inspiration from the people, stories and distinctive character of Amsterdam’s different neighbourhoods.

The service is warm, energetic and deliberately informal, making adventurous cocktails feel accessible rather than intimidating. In 2026, Super Lyan was ranked number 42 in Europe’s 50 Best Bars and officially named the Best Bar in the Netherlands.
