Tuftuf fills the space between an evening restaurant and a traditional late-night club. Located in the historic Handboogstraat, this intimate 25+ after-dinner venue is designed for guests who want to continue the evening after a good meal without immediately stepping into an intense nightclub.

The night begins downstairs, where warm lighting, velvet seating and vintage details create the feeling of a stylish European cocktail bar. As the evening progresses, the music becomes louder and attention shifts upstairs, where an intimate dance floor surrounded by disco balls brings the club to life. DJs play an accessible mix of old-school disco, funky house, soulful classics, 1990s favourites and irresistible guilty pleasures.

Tuftuf opened in 2025 inside a location with a long nightlife history. Before becoming tuftuf, the building was home to Disco Dolly and, earlier, the legendary Dansen bij Jansen. The current name reaches even further back: a Western-style bar called TufTuf once occupied the same address. The new concept embraces that history while offering a more mature alternative for Amsterdam’s thirty-something nightlife crowd.

Come early for cocktails and conversation, stay longer when the upstairs dance floor fills and let the evening develop naturally. Tuftuf is relaxed enough for an after-dinner drink, but lively enough to keep you dancing until late.
